European Science Foundation project COMST (Comparative Oriental Manuscripts STudies) Seminar "The Oriental book" The Shaping of the Page, the Scribe and the Illuminator at Work The Making of Oriental Bookbindings and their Conservation Centre de Conservation du Livre Arles >From 11-13 October 2012, the European Science Foundation project COMST (Comparative Oriental Manuscripts STudies) is having a seminar in Arles (South of France) in the Centre de Conservation du Livre. This seminar will focus on oriental bookbindings structural comparison and on several aspects of oriental manuscripts conservation. Before that meeting, from 9-10 October, 2012, a meeting on oriental manuscripts codicology will take place.
