The 2013 workshop and conference will be held at Canada's oldest
museum, the New Brunswick Museum in Saint John, New Brunswick. A
two-day workshop May 21-22, 2013 "Revealing Lost Content: Digital
Forensics for the Bench Conservator" facilitated by Hal Erickson,
will cover non-destructive low-tech methods for the visualization of
obscured content in an object to better inform treatment decisions.
A one-day workshop May 22 will explore various issues related to
Conservation as a Small Business. The conference itself will run May
23-25. Papers exploring all aspects of conservation, including
theory and treatment, preventive conservation, conservation ethics,
and the public interpretation of conservation practice are welcome.
