Icon internship Conservation of Paintings Caring for Kenwood Project funded by Heritage Lottery Fund EFP12/14 This Icon Internship based at English Heritage in London for 12 months. With an educational bursary of UKP16,000 plus small London allowance and training study supplement, the placement will start early November 2012 and will be supervised by Rachell Turnbull, ACR. The Iveagh Bequest and Suffolk Collection at Kenwood House are two internationally significant collections of paintings. These collections will be conserved and treated at the English Heritage Painting Conservation Studio and on site for the re-presentation and opening of Kenwood in October 2013. The focus of this internship will be to carry out examination, documentation and treatment of one or two paintings and frames for re-display at Kenwood as well as gain invaluable experience of working in a major heritage organisation, learn about collections care and heritage practice and contribute to the daily work of the Conservation department.
