Kress Fellowship Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC) The Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC), located in Andover, Massachusetts, 25 miles north of Boston, is offering a one-year post-graduate internship in Book or Paper conservation, depending on the professional goal and experience of the successful candidate. The position will be supported by a grant from the Samuel H. Kress Foundation. The fellowship offers an opportunity to spend a concentrated amount of time at the bench in a spacious laboratory in a collaborative environment with highly skilled and experienced colleagues. The successful candidate will treat a variety of materials, either bound or unbound. He or she may also participate in outreach activities such as workshops, tours, and surveys. In addition to bench skills, good written and oral English communication skills are necessary. Applicants must have a degree from a graduate level conservation training program or equivalent experience. They must also be legally entitled to live and work in the United States. Compensation will include health and vacation benefits, as well as funding and time away from the lab for travel and research to supplement training at NEDCC.
