Proceedings of the 11th ICOM-CC Group on Wet Organic Archaeological Materials Conference

The "Proceedings of the 11th ICOM-CC Group on Wet Organic
Archaeological Materials Conference: Greenville, 2010" is now
available through Lulu (an on-line publisher) for $50.70 US plus
shipping.  The book, edited by Kristiane Straetkvern and Emily
Williams, is 667 pages long and contains 55 papers on diverse topics
such as: In situ preservation and reburials, Analytical techniques
for degradation and stability studies, wood conservation strategies,
the problems associated with the presence of sulfur, iron, alum and
other inorganics in wood and the conservation of leather, bone and
other organic materials.  There are also two round-table discussions
which focus on the use of low molecular weight PEGs during
freeze-drying and the removal of inorganic compounds from wood. The
