Lecture by Yoko Shiraiwa

ICON (Institute of Conservation) Scotland and the ICON Photographic
Materials Group are very pleased to announce that as part of the
"Let's Talk About Photography" series, the conservator Yoko Shiraiwa
will be giving two lectures in the UK about her work on photographic
materials damaged in the Japanese Tsunami.

The first lecture will take place at the National Portrait Gallery
in Edinburgh on Thursday 12 July 2012 from 3-4-30 pm. We are able to
offer the event thanks to the generous sponsorship of ICON Scotland
and the National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh.

The second event will take place at The Photographers' Gallery on 19
July 2012 from 5-30-8pm, and will also include a guided tour of the
newly-opened Gallery with a curator. We are very lucky to be able to
offer the event at a reasonable cost thanks to the generosity of The
Photographers' Gallery and Harwell Document Restoration Services.
