Subject: Talks on conservation of archaeological materials
"From Context Sheets to Display Cases" Glasgow 25-26 June 2012 In conjunction with the Scotland Group, the Icon Archaeology Group is presenting a varied day of talks on the conservation of archaeological material on 25 June 2012 at the Charles Wilson Building, Glasgow University. We have what promises to be an interesting day, with talks ranging from non-destructive analysis, to the conservation of Pictish stones, and the excavation of the Great Escape tunnel. 26 June 2012 will offer visits to both Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and the Riverside Museum: a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues visiting for the talks and view current developments in Scottish museums. Places are limited so, to avoid disappointment, please reserve places from Beth Werrett using the booking form available on the Icon Archaeology Group Events page at <URL:http://www.icon.org.uk> Contact details: Beth Werret +44 1249 705522 beth.werrett<-at->wiltshire<.>gov<.>uk Please send cheques, payable to 'Institute of Conservation' to Beth Werrett Wiltshire Conservation Service The Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre Cocklebury Road, Chippenham Wiltshire SN15 3QN before June 11 2012.
