I am pleased to announce that registration is now open for the June
2012 presentation of "Your Life as an Independent [Whatever]." The
online workshop will open on Monday 4 June 2012 and continue through
Sunday 24 June, 2012.

Whether you're a new program graduate, or a seasoned conservator
looking to start or expand your independent practice, this workshop
can help you learn to

    Talk about yourself, and about the work you do in a way that
    makes your abilities clear to others

    Identify potential clients or employers (realistic ones!) and
    understand how to find them

    Face the financial issues--what resources you need to start a
    business or stay in business, how to design a budget, talking to
    others (clients, bankers, your mother) about finances and your
    business.

"Your Life..." offers targeted forum discussions, worksheets and
other off-line activities, and group chats, as well as many
opportunities for 1:1 discussions with the course leader,
co-participants, and guest experts. The online format means you work
at your own pace, at times convenient to you.
