Collection Care Network

We want to partner with you. We seek to bring together preservation
organizations, professionals, and information resources to support
the critical work of collection care. We consider preservation as an
umbrella concept that covers both preventive care and conservation
treatments to achieve stabilization. We wish to foster dynamic
exchange among collaborators engaged in preventive care, grow the
body of preventive care knowledge and disseminate this knowledge to
support the work of all collection care practitioners, conservators,
and allied professions.

Give us input, your ideas and suggestions for future projects. You
can connect with us at the American Institute for Conservation of
Historic and Artistic Works (AIC) meeting in Albuquerque (May 8-11,
2012). We'll be wearing light blue ribbons on our nametags. We're
friendly folk and will be eager to speak with you about the CCN.
Please attend the Outreach to Allies session planned Wednesday, May
9, 2012, 2-5:30pm. CCN is participating as part of this session. As
a springboard for your thoughts we intend to show brief videos of
stakeholders in the preservation field and discuss the dilemmas that
the individual's perspective brings. Immediately following the
session, join us at the CCN reception. Refreshments and a cash bar
will keep us sustained while we continue to collect your thoughts
and ideas.
