Thanks to the generosity of the Getty Foundation IIC is able to
offer a limited number of grants to enable practising conservators
from developing countries to attend the IIC 2012 Congress in Vienna.

Application is open to individuals from any country *not* part of
Western Europe, North America, Australasia or Japan who is currently
in employment in either a public or private capacity. Applicants
must demonstrate in their CV prior formal or significant informal
training in conservation or conservation science and must have been
in practice for at least one year since the completion of training.
These grants are NOT available to students.

To apply, two written submissions are required: firstly, a brief
written statement in English describing how attendance at the
Congress would be of benefit to the individual and to conservation
in his/her country and secondly, a letter of support from one
senior professional conservator, who should be named, with
affiliations and contact details, on the application document. There
is no application form.

Applications should be headed "IIC 212 Getty Grant Application" and
be sent to the IIC Office by post, fax or email and should be
received by 30 April 2012.
