Subject: Grants for IIC Congress
Thanks to the generosity of the Getty Foundation IIC is able to offer a limited number of grants to enable practising conservators from developing countries to attend the IIC 2012 Congress in Vienna. Application is open to individuals from any country *not* part of Western Europe, North America, Australasia or Japan who is currently in employment in either a public or private capacity. Applicants must demonstrate in their CV prior formal or significant informal training in conservation or conservation science and must have been in practice for at least one year since the completion of training. These grants are NOT available to students. To apply, two written submissions are required: firstly, a brief written statement in English describing how attendance at the Congress would be of benefit to the individual and to conservation in his/her country and secondly, a letter of support from one senior professional conservator, who should be named, with affiliations and contact details, on the application document. There is no application form. Applications should be headed "IIC 212 Getty Grant Application" and be sent to the IIC Office by post, fax or email and should be received by 30 April 2012.
