McEvoy Auditorium
Smithsonian American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery
8th and G Streets NW, Washington, DC
Friday, April 6, 2012

Metigo MAP is a graphic software created specifically for
conservation documentation of both 2 and 3-dimensional surfaces. It
can be used as an alternative to advanced graphic software such as
GIS and CAD and it also comprises certain features of raster
programs that are commonly used by conservators. An introduction to
how the software may be used will be given by Julia Burdajewicz. The
lecture will include the presentation and discussion of the
characteristic features of the software such as rectifying images,
overlay of images, the use of drawing tools, methods of mapping of
phenomena, surface calculations and the use of legends. No RSVP
required.

Metigo MAP, such as rectification and overlay of images, creating
and importing mapping classes and categories, creating legends and
exporting the result of the mapping into an image file. Handouts of
a brief manual will be provided.
