The Washington Conservation Guild presents the sixth meeting of the 2011-2012 season "Inexcusable but Appropriate: The Technical Analysis of Hand-painted" Tintypes from the Smithsonian National Museum of American History (NMAH) and the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation (WUDPAC) Collections" The Phillips Collection 1600 21st Street NW. Washington, DC 20009 Reception 5-6pm Lecture: 6-7pm Speaker Alisha Chipman Photograph Conservator National Gallery of Art Public Transportation The museum is located 1 block from the north entrance of the Dupont Circle metro, red line. Please enter the museum at the main entrance. Please register at the desk when you enter, and you will be directed to the reception area. The museum will be open until 8:30 pm. If you would like to visit the exhibitions after the lecture, please check in at the admissions desk to get a ticket. The reception will be held in the seminar rooms outside the Phillips Auditorium, Lower Level 2. This event is free to WCG members, $5 for guests and non-members.
