Fixed term from 1 May 2012 - 31 May 2013

Tate is commencing a Storage Transfer project, addressing Tate's long
term storage needs across all Tate sites and involves the preparation
and transfer of paintings and 3D artworks to new locations.

We are seeking an experienced Sculpture Technician to work within
the Storage Transfer Project Team. You will concentrate on designing,
specifying, constructing and fitting out storage and travel cases for
artworks to Tate standards for transport and storage.  You will also
assist in the preparation and treatment of sculpture using a full range
of specialist techniques.

You must have experience of working with and handling fine art, as
well as experience of designing and fitting out bespoke packing for
artworks. You must be able to demonstrate the practical skills required
for the movement and handling of art works. You must have a pragmatic
approach to problem-solving, have excellent communication skills and be
able to work flexibly under pressure.
