Sculpture Conservator TG0167 Tate Salary UKP27,150 per annum Fixed term from 1 May 2012 - 31 May 2013 Tate is commencing a Storage Transfer project, addressing Tate's long term storage needs across all Tate sites and involves the preparation and transfer of paintings and 3D artworks to new locations. We are seeking an experienced sculpture conservator to work within the Storage Transfer Project team. As Sculpture Conservator, you will be concentrating on assessing, preparing, treating and packing sculptures and installations within the Collection before the sculptures are moved to storage sites. You will hold a recognised qualification in Conservation with demonstrable practical experience. It is essential to have analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, and an effective communicator. You will need to be able to work independently on conservation treatments and provide specialist advice for storage and transport. Good end-use IT skills will also be necessary.
