Frames Conservator TG9170 Tate Salary pro rata to UKP27,150 per annum Tate is commencing a Storage Transfer project, addressing Tate's long term storage needs across all Tate sites and involves the preparation and transfer of paintings and 3D artworks to new locations. We are seeking an experienced Frames Conservator to work within the Storage Transfer Project Team. As Frames Conservator, you will concentrate on assessing, preparing, treating and packing frames within the Collection before the frames are moved to storage sites. You will hold a recognised qualification in Conservation with demonstrable practical experience. It is essential to have analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, and an effective communicator. You will need to be able to work independently on conservation treatments and provide specialist advice for storage and transport. Good end-use IT skills will also be necessary.
