UKP26,135 - UKP29,271 per annum, plus membership of Civil Service
pension scheme

Full time, Temporary Maternity Cover until May 2013

We are seeking an excellent practical conservator to support all
aspects of the conservation of the textile, costume and related
collections, including loans and exhibitions.

You will have a good understanding of materials and treatments, and
will have knowledge of professional conservation issues and best
practice, as well as an awareness of professional museum issues.
With a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, you will also
have a professional conservation qualification and proven relevant
work experience. Some experience of working with costume would be
desirable. You will be adept at problem solving, able to manage your
time and work, alone or with others, to meet deadlines, and will
have good communication and ICT skills.
