I am studying Conservation of Fine Art, Works on Paper at
Northumbria University in Newcastle, England. An area of research
for my thesis involves comparing current practice in removing
varnish from paper artifacts. My particular concentration lies in
maps, but I am interested in varnish removal from all varieties of
paper.

If you have undertaken varnish removal from any kind of paper
supports I would be grateful if you could contribute to my research
by completing a short survey which can be found at

If you feel comfortable doing so, please provide your name and
institution in the blank space on Question 1. Your responses will be
treated confidentially. If you have any queries or further
information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for taking the time to supplement my research.
