Subject: Call for papers--The role of conservators in projects
Call for Papers "Know your place - the role of conservators in projects" Conservation Matters in Wales conference St Fagans: National History Museum Cardiff, Wales 14 June 2012 A one day conference organised by Amguedda Cymru: National Museum Wales, The Federation of Museums and Art Galleries of Wales and Cardiff University. With museums, libraries and archives working increasingly in a project orientated culture we are looking for people willing to share examples of conservation within projects, large and small, and speak about their experiences. What projects have you been involved in? What was your role and how was it defined? How were relationships with colleagues managed? What input did you have? How were conservation decisions made? Do you have any lessons learnt or advice for successful project working? Conservation Matters in Wales conferences are held twice a year in Wales, UK and bring together examples of best practice, case studies and research in conservation and collections care, and provide networking opportunities for conservators and museum, library and archive professionals. St Fagans: National History Museum is one of Europe's foremost open-air museums representing the life and culture of Wales and situated in 100 acres of parkland. <URL:http://www.museumwales.ac.uk/en/stfagans/> If you are interested in speaking please send a brief outline to: Heather Perry <heather.perry<-at->rctcbc<.>gov<.>uk> Deadline for submissions: 29 February 2012 Heather Perry Rhondda Cynon Taf Museum Service Rhondda Heritage Park Coed Cae Road Trehafod, Nr Pontypridd CF37 2NP +44 1443 682036 *** Conservation DistList Instance 25:37 Distributed: Sunday, February 12, 2012 Message Id: cdl-25-37-008 ***Received on Saturday, 11 February, 2012
