There was an error in dates.  The text should have read:

The Smithsonian American Art Museum's Lunder Conservation Center in
Washington will host a summer intern in Objects Conservation in the
summer of 2012.

This position is for a conservation graduate student currently
enrolled in a training program. The unfunded position will provide a
rich internship experience comprising examination and treatment of a
wide range of media from the 19th-21st century. In addition, the
intern will gain experience with practical application of climate
and micro-climate monitoring, pest control and identification,
public outreach and many other conservation practices.

Application deadline: March 1, 2012
Notice of acceptance: April 1, 2012

Applicants may submit a letter of interest, resume and letter of
recommendation from a professor to:
