The historic collections of our Historic Royal Palaces are windows
to the past. By enhancing our conservation expertise, you'll be
ensuring people can enjoy them well into the future.

Based within five of the greatest palaces ever built, you'll lead a
ten-strong team working to conserve some of the world's finest
collections and decorative interiors. As a specialist in preventive
conservation and collections care, you'll be capable of
masterminding the delivery of a complex and well-established
programme of preventive risk management. Whatever the project, you
must ensure work is carried out to the highest standard by managing
your highly skilled staff. You'll also be an important part of the
section's management team who work together to influence best
conservation practice within this busy commercial heritage
environment. Focused on solutions, you will contribute to our
communication and training mandate as well as our project culture
and ambitious palace-wide representation plan.

Historic Royal Palaces will consider applications involving
secondment from other organisations to fill this position, offering
a unique opportunity for an advanced level specialist to refresh
their knowledge and enhance ours at this centre of excellence.

Your degree in Conservation or Collections Care will be supported by
substantial experience and an advanced technical knowledge of
preventive conservation and risk management. You'll combine
technical expertise with a team approach, flexibility and strong
interpersonal, managerial and customer service skills. You will also
need a proven record in delivering project management work plans and
mentoring others.

Based at Hampton Court Palace, you will be required to travel to our
other palaces.

Historic Royal Palaces encourages PACR accreditation.
