Hany Hanna receives Shahbaz Bhatti Freedom Award

Dr. Hany Hanna, General Director at Ministry of Antiquities, Egypt,
Professor, Higher Institute for Coptic Studies in Cairo, and founder
and former Coordinator of ICOM-CC Wood, Furniture, and Lacquer
Working Group, has been awarded the Shahbaz Bhatti Freedom Award.

First Step Forum (FSF) presented 'the Shahbaz Bhatti Freedom Award'
to Dr. Hany Hanna, "the preacher of the Egyptian revolution" and the
special advisor of the FSF, for his work for human rights and
democracy in his country, Egypt. Dr. Hanna received the award at the
award dinner in Brussels, Belgium Thursday, January 12, 2012.

In his speech, Dr. Hanna presented the Award to the heroes and
nobles of Tahrir "the liberation" squares, the free revolutionaries,
martyrs wounded, detainees and [the missing]."
