Assistant Paper Conservator, Fine Art Digitisation Project National Museums Liverpool Ref No 1149 Collections Management Salary: UKP20,104- UKP22,278 Hours: 37 Fixed term for 9 months National Museums Liverpool is looking for an individual to assist the Curator of Works on Paper in preparation for digitisation. This will include surveying the collection, carrying out remedial work, mounting the collection for storage, and assisting in the movement and handling of works between the store and the photographic studio, The successful candidate will have a conservation qualification or equivalent training, and practical experience of paper conservation. A sound knowledge of current methods and practices in paper conservation is essential, as is proficiency in keeping written and photographic records of conservation work. The ability to work under pressure and to deadline as part of a team will be critical to this role.
