Subject: Work experience opportunity at Chedworth Roman Villa
Mosaics conservation experience offered at Chedworth Roman Villa The National Trust is completing the erection of a new shelter building at Chedworth Roman Villa, Gloucestershire, UK. For five weeks from July 23 - August 24, 2012 there will be an opportunity for students to assist with the surveying and cleaning of a section of previously re-buried mosaic, and with the conservation of mosaics revealed last year. The work is being led by specialist conservator Chris Cleere. Allocation of places will take into account the order applications are received but preference will be given to those who have their own transport since the site is remote. Accommodation (approximately 10 miles from the site) and a small subsistence allowance are offered. You must pay for your own transport to the project. If you would like to be one of the team, please contact Helen Moody <helen.moody<-at->nationaltrust<.>org<.>uk> Send your application by 29 January 2012 with a cv and an indication of the period you would be available to work, no attachments over 2 MB please. Please ensure that you are able to work in the UK before making your application. We will also welcome volunteers that are able to provide their own accommodation, subsistence and travel.
