Artlab Australia conserves and preserves cultural heritage resources
within South Australia, Australia and internationally. It is located
in Adelaide, a city rich in the arts and cultural diversity--an
integral part of Australia's arts and heritage landscape.

Artlab is an agency of Arts SA in the South Australian Department of
the Premier and Cabinet, and is responsible for the conservation
programs of the major South Australian cultural institutions: Art
Gallery of South Australia, South Australian Museum, State Library
of SA, History SA and Carrick Hill. Artlab also delivers services to
organisations and individuals on a fee-for-service basis. These
services include preventive programs, remedial treatments, research,
community support and education.

Artlab Australia is seeking a Principal Conservator who will manage
paper, book and photographic conservation services for a broad range
of state, national and international clients. This interesting and
challenging team leader position involves undertaking complex
treatment and managing the projects and workflows of a team of
conservation staff who are working with a broad range of materials
including works of art, books, maps, photographs, plans and
documents.

A degree in conservation of cultural material (or equivalent)
specialising in book and/or paper conservation plus at least five
years relevant experience is essential.
