Andrew W. Mellon Advanced Training Fellowship in Painting Conservation The three-year fellowship in paintings will commence in the fall of 2012 and will include a $33,000 annual stipend plus $2,000 each year for travel and research. The fellowship will be devoted to conservation treatments at the National Gallery of Art and research related to the collections. The fellow will be expected to produce a publishable paper based on his or her research project before the end of the appointment. Eligibility: Graduates from recognized training programs or candidates with equivalent training will be considered. Applicants should have no more than five years of conservation-related work experience. A proven record of research and writing ability, as well as English-language skills, are required. Fellowships are awarded without regard to age, sex, nationality, or race. Selected finalists who are not United States citizens must provide proof of their own health insurance coverage during the fellowship period.
