I invite those that have a facebook account to access a new page:

    Science for Cultural Heritage
    <URL:http://www.facebook.com/scienceforculturalheritage>

and to give a feedback about it or recommendations about how to
improve it.

This page is meant to be an active and interactive Forum for
discussion among professionals in the Cultural Heritage domain
interested in or dealing with scientific issues and approaches to:

    Study of works of art and monuments as a whole and as an
    object/surface interacting with the outdoor/environmental
    agents;

    Characterization of art/building materials and techniques;

    identification of original elements and development of
    authentication tools/methodologies;

    Creation and development of interdisciplinary and complementary
    methodologies for detecting/characterizing works of art and
    their degradation-deterioration processes;

    Application of innovative, high-tech technologies for the study
    and promotion and access to cultural heritage assets;

    Publication and knowledge transfer in the field of conservation
    and Heritage science;

    Scientific outreach relating to the conservation practice and
    dissemination of theoretical and practical knowledge;

    Networking and sharing ethical, theoretical and practical
    knowledge among professionals.
