Assistant Restorer The National Gallery, London You will join the present team of conservators responsible for the care of the collection. You will be principally involved in the structural repair and loan preparation of paintings; you will also examine and report on loans, and travel with National Gallery paintings on loan. In addition, you may be asked to contribute to preventative conservation research. You will be well-qualified, with a first degree or equivalent in a science or arts/humanities subject followed by a recognised post-graduate qualification in the conservation of easel paintings. Some further training and practical experience as a result of internships and/or employment would be desirable. You will have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide range of individuals.
