Cali, Colombia +57 2 6 84 77 52 oeussego<-a t->banrep< . >gov< . >co This workshop is open to archivists, librarians, conservators and photographers interested in the care of twentieth-century photographic materials The course schedule will be Friday through Saturday from 8am to 5pm The purpose of this workshop is to learn how to properly storage twentieth-century Photographic Materials in libraries, archives and private collections. Participants will learn how important is for the preservation of photographs the way they are stored and how storage materials can influence in its preservation. As an important issue, they will learn how to make some types of enclosures, such as envelopes and boxes, in order to understand the materials used for handling and storage photographic materials. Requirements for participants: Participants should bring five samples of photographs from his collection, for the practical session.
