Ninth century Qur'an

Does anyone know where I can find reference material for binding a
ninth century Qur'an? Someone is asking to have a North African,
Near Eastern, ninth century Qur'an bound in a period style. All we
can find as reference is "Objets Kairouanais" by Georges Marcais and
Louis Poinssot which is fairly useful on the subject of decoration
but a little thin when it comes to structure, sewing etc. Can any
one help guide me towards any other material?
