Conservator (Applied Arts)

    UKP25,524 p.a.

    The Museum of London is looking for an enthusiastic and
    experienced objects conservator to join our Conservation and
    Collection Care department.  You will undertake practical and
    preventive conservation work on a range of objects from the
    Museum's collections for display, loan and study purposes. You
    will also be expected to participate in cross disciplinary
    projects and collection care works as required.

    The successful candidate will have a recognised qualification or
    equivalent in objects conservation, have excellent communication
    skills and take on departmental liaison roles as required. You
    will work on your own initiative with the minimum of supervision
    and will produce high quality work to tight deadlines.

    experienced textile conservator to join our Conservation and
    Collection Care department.  You will undertake practical and
    preventive conservation work on a range of objects from the
    Museum's Dress and Textile collection for display, loan and
    study purposes. You will also be expected to participate in
    cross disciplinary projects and collection care works as
    required.

    The successful candidate will have a recognised qualification or
    equivalent in Textile Conservation, have excellent communication
    skills and the ability to take on departmental liaison roles as
    required. You will work on your own initiative with the minimum
    of supervision and will produce high quality work to tight
    deadlines.
