Tate is committed to promoting public appreciation, awareness and
enjoyment of British art from the 16th century to the present day,
and of international modern and contemporary art.

We are seeking an experienced paintings conservator to work within
our Paintings and Frames Conservation team in support of Loans Out
and Tate St Ives programme areas. Day-to-day, you will concentrate
on assessing, preparing and treating works of art within the
Collection and on supporting all related programme activity.

You will hold a recognised qualification in Paintings Conservation
with demonstrable practical experience.   It is essential to have
analytical and problem-solving skills, organisational,
time-management and planning skills, and to be effective
communicator. You will need to be able to work independently on
conservation treatments and provide specialist advice for storage,
transport and installation of works of art.   Good end-use IT skills
will also be necessary with flexibility around working hours and
related travel.
