Artifacts Conservator The Yad Vashem Museum 50% Position The Yad Vashem Museum in Jerusalem, Israel, is looking for a conservator who will be responsible for maintaining appropriate conservation conditions for artifacts in exhibitions, in storage and in packaging and shipment to external exhibitions. The conservator will also be responsible for the conservation of artifacts from wood, metals, material and paper, the conservation of artworks on material and paper, statues, ceramics, mosaics and murals and for the documentation of the conservation process in the computer system. This applicant must commit to work according to the ethical code of the Israeli Society for the Conservation and Preservation of Cultural Property. The applicant must have proven practical experience and an Academic degree in Conservation and Preservation. The applicant must be available for a half-time position. The applicant must show ability to work as part of a team and to work independently. The applicant must be fluent in both Hebrew and English and have excellent computer skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The applicant must be detail oriented and show excellent interpersonal skills.
