Objects collected at memorials

Does anyone have experience working with objects collected at
Memorials such as "Flight 93" or any Vietnam or other Military
Memorials? NJ is preparing to dedicate NJ's 9/11 Memorial this
September. The Collection Policy, documentation, preservation and
management issues are huge.

I am particularly interested in the increased staff needs,
workloads, pest management, documentation and storage. I'd like to
share some insights with colleagues so that funding and staffing
issues can be addressed prior to the dedication.

Is there information available on Monument preservation/ cleaning.
