Assistant or Associate Paper Conservator The Balboa Art Conservation Center (BACC) The Balboa Art Conservation Center (BACC), an active regional center serving 18 member museums, non-member museums and private clients seeks an Assistant or Associate Paper Conservator. BACC conservators work with a wide variety of collection types performing conservation services in examination, treatment, analysis, and on-site surveys of collections. The Center is located in San Diego's Balboa Park, the nation's largest urban cultural park, which is home to 15 major museums, as well as performing arts venues, the San Diego Zoo, and gardens. Collections served by BACC vary widely in keeping with the museum community active with the Center. Paper conservation staff works with collections that include some archival materials, but predominantly history and art collections with emphasis in American, European, S. Asian, and some E. Asian materials. For further information about the Center, please visit <URL:http://www.bacc.org> The Assistant or Associate Paper Conservator position is a full-time staff position and requires a degree from a recognized conservation training program or equivalent experience. Preference will be given to applicants with one or more years of post-graduate experience for the Assistant position while the Associate position requires a minimum of four years of post-graduate experience.
