Effective Presentations, is an online workshop about designing,
organizing writing, rehearsing and improving the presentations you
make to your colleagues, peers, potential clients and employers, and
the public. I am pleased to announce that the latest offering of
this workshop will start on 22 August 2011 and run through 1
December 2011.

Workshop participants will take advantage of weekly or bi-weekly
activities and worksheets that can help them create and present
their talk or paper. They will have access to forums to discuss
details and toss around ideas, plus opportunities to critique and be
critiqued by a group of open, encouraging co-participants. Work on a
presentation--a conference paper, a public lecture, or other--as you
participate in the workshop.

This year, the online meetings that are a component of Effective
Presentations are available for single or multiple registration, for
those looking for a quick refresher or who do not want to join the
workshop for other reasons. Meeting participants will receive an
agenda (and sometimes an assignment) before the meeting. After the
session has ended you'll have access to a transcript of the session
and all the resources (links or worksheets) distributed at or for
the meeting. However they will not have access to other workshop
materials.

The online meetings are:

    22 August 2011      Writing an abstract

    29 August 2011      Writing a longer abstract or proposal

    12 September 2011   Presentations--Designing, Organizing,
                        Writing
    17 October 2011     Presentations--The Presenting Part (Visual
                        and Oral)

    14 November 2011    A Followup meeting, open gratis to anyone
                        who signed up for at least one of the above
                        meetings

Costs:

    Option 1: Register for the Effective Presentations workshop:
    $180

    Option 2: Join us for one or a few online meetings. The cost to
    register for meetings 1-4 is Which is found in this domain_ $35. Meeting 5 (Followup) is free
    to participants in any of the first four meetings

    Option 3: Join us for all 5 online meetings at the discounted
    price of 120.
