The Department of Conservation and Restoration at Universidade Nova
e Lisboa is looking for a professor of Conservation and Restoration
of Time-based media Works of Art (Multi-media) and is accepting CVs
for analysis; he/she will be also in charge for launching the area
of Conservation of Photography.

DCR will open this new area of research in collaboration with Museum
studies group from the Faculty of Human Sciences (FCSH/UNL) and the
Department of Computer Sciences (DI-FCT/UNL).

Preference of PhD. in Conservation or Conservation Science will be
given, with professional experience in diagnostics, conservation and
restoration of time-based media and/or photography. Candidates of
PhD. of other areas of conservation / conservation sciences willing
to start this new areas at DCR-FCT/UNL will be also welcome.

A successful candidate will be responsible for teaching this subject
areas at both the bachelor and master's level. It is also expected
that he/she will apply for and coordinate research projects and
therefore participate in the PhD program in Conservation and
Restoration.

There is no need to speak Portuguese and the lessons can be given in
English during the first year.
