Subject: Source for colored Plexiglas sought

Rohm and Haas used to sell (or perhaps, give away) sample sets of Plexiglas (a registered trademark) in 2 1/2 inch squares. We had a bunch of these at the Freer Gallery when I worked there. They proved useful not only for selecting the right color, opacity, etc. for a project but also for fabricating small apparatus in decorative bright colors. I think the easiest thing to do is to look up plastics in the yellow pages and then go to your biggest local distributor of plexiglass and ask for samples. In looking on the web, I found both Plexiglass(r) and plexiglass, but the first source listed US Plastic Corp. <URL:http://ecommercialplastics.com> showed some of these small samples of plexiglass as the first picture on their website, so I think they're still available. *** Conservation DistList Instance 25:9 Distributed: Thursday, August 4, 2011 Message Id: cdl-25-9-007 ***Received on Monday, 11 July, 2011
