Hand coloured glass lantern slide

A circa 1950's hand coloured glass lantern slide with pink and red
detailing is being considered for exhibition. The design requires
that light is transmitted through it so the image can be seen.

The question of fading of the red colouring has been raised and I
would appreciate information or similar experiences from DistList
members.
