ICWCT 2012 International Course on Wood Conservation Technology Oslo 23 May - 29 June, 2012 The 15th International Course on Wood Conservation Technology will be held in Oslo, 23 May - 29 June, 2012. The course welcomes applicants from all over the world who work in the field of wood conservation. Every other year since 1984 the Directorate for Cultural Heritage has organized The International Course on Wood Conservation Technology (ICWCT). The course is held in cooperation with International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) <URL:http://www.iccrom.org> and NTNU <URL:http://www.ntnu.edu> - the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. The aim of the Course is to promote cultural understanding and research in the field of wood conservation, and to be a valuable resource for the work of the individual participants in their respective countries. The course is directed towards professionals who have been working for some years within the field of wood conservation. The ICWCT covers a wide range of interdisciplinary topics. Theoretical and practical aspects of wood conservation are given equal consideration throughout the course. The course concludes with a written exam, which awards university credits if passed. The course language is English.
