Coordinator IMLS Connecting to Collections Grant Indiana Historical Society The Indiana Historical Society has received an IMLS Connecting to Collections Grant. The IHS will hire a Coordinator to carry out the primary components of this grant. Working within the Local History Services department, the Coordinator will schedule site visits and teach basic collections care and collections management to small museums in Indiana. Nature of the work: The HHA Coordinator will carry out an Institute of Library and Museum Services Connecting to Collections Implementation Grant, following up on a recently completed survey of heritage collections in Indiana. In cooperation with the Local History Services department, the HHA Coordinator will manage all aspects of the grant project. The major component of the grant is teaching basic collections care and management to staff and volunteers of Indiana local history organizations. Additionally, the HHA Coordinator will oversee development of a traveling exhibit, poster, training conferences, and web based or other distance learning. State-wide travel will be required. We will begin interviewing as soon as possible and hope to have someone hired by the end of June.
