METAL 2010 took place in Charleston South Carolina from October 11-15-2010, and was held for the first time in the United States. The conference featured an outstanding program that included both conservation practice and conservation science. Presentations from individuals representing universities, national research laboratories, conservators in private practice and many renowned cultural institutions from around the world provided great opportunity to discuss current issues in the conservation of metal objects.
