Your field of activity will be:

  Mosaics, wall-paintings:

    Conservation-restoration of mosaics and wall-paintings, in situ
    monitoring

    Intervention in the field, lifting

    Conservation-restoration and conditioning of mosaic- and
    wall-painting fragments

    Transfer on new support Monuments:

    Direction and coordination of the conservation-restoration work
    and of the monitoring

  Architectural elements:

    Conservation-restoration and conditioning
    Assembly for presentation

For the 3 scopes of activity:

    Development of an intervention plan, choice of methods,
    estimation of costs

    Coordination of scientific analyses (with third parts)

We offer:

    a museum, archaeological excavation activities and a
    restoration-laboratory

    The possibility of contribution to internal and external
    publications

    You will also deal with fundamental questions in the domain of
    conservation-restoration and collaborate with specialists of
    other disciplines, implementing recent scientific results.

We require:

    High School diploma in conservation-restoration or equivalent
    recognized conservation training

    Several years of professional experience as a
    conservator-restorer, especially in the field of
    conservation-restoration of mural paintings, mosaics and
    monuments

    Technological and scientific experiences and interest for
    history

    Excellent knowledge of the French language, spoken and written,
    optionally German, English or Italian

    High level of self-initiative and leadership

    Good social competences and teamwork abilities

    Very good skills in MS-Office, in image-processing and most
    common data-base software

Start of work: 1 July 2011 or after agreement
