CONSERVER process

R.G.I. Resource Group Integrator S.r.l. of Genova announces that the
Company recently entered to Thesauron Group under the new name of
RGI bioSteril Tech srl. The participation to the well know Thesauron
Group will allow to the new company production, improvement and
commercialisation of the VELOXY system to eradicate insect pest in
Cultural Heritage collections by means of very low oxygen
concentration.

Recently, novel equipment, CONSERVER, was developed to conserve
paper materials under vacuum and physically sterilized environment,
preserving it from dust, humidity and pollution. The equipment
CONSERVER is also successfully used to drain the from waterlogged
paper material (newspapers, magazines, books and documents).

The process of CONSERVER is really unique. The extraction of the air
can be coupled to the extraction of the excess of the water up to
90%. Furthermore, before the final sealing of the special
enclosures, the material is exposed (three or four times) to a
sterilized atmosphere in order to prevent the potential presence of
microorganisms in the residual air. In such a way, the cost of the
final drying process is strongly reduced and also the formation of
fungal proliferation is minimized.
