Artifex Equipment Inc. (Artifex) announces the launch of Zorbix, a
reusable, super-absorbent sheet for quickly drying water damaged
books and documents. Zorbix can absorb 50 times its weight in water,
making it 25 times as effective as blotter paper.

"90% of the moisture in a wet book can be removed in three hours
with three pressings of Zorbix" states Nicholas Yeager, President of
Artifex. The company estimates that the cost to dry wet books can
be reduced by 50% using Zorbix when compared to air drying.
Materials dry flat without cockling, swelling or freezer burn.
Zorbix sheets are reusable 10 times or more.

Zorbix was invented in 2003 by Nicholas Yeager and Kate Hayes, then
Technical Information Specialist at the USDA's National Agricultural
Library in Beltsville, MD. Artifex began producing the Zorbix in
limited quantities in 2006 and was awarded a patent in the summer of
2009. Earlier this year Artifex teamed up with an industry leader in
the paper converting industry and is now in production with five
sizes:

    4 x 6 inches
    6 x 9 inches
    7.5 x 10 inches
    10 x 12 inches
    15 x 20 inches
