Call for papers--Parchment and vellum

Call for Papers
Journal of the Institute of Conservation
Parchment and Vellum Special Issue
Volume 35 issue 2, Autumn 2012

Are you working with parchment or vellum? This may be on historical
documents, illuminated manuscripts, codices, or it may be an object
with a vellum element, such as a drum, sail, hand puppet, etc. You
may be investigating the identification or deterioration of vellum
or parchment, testing a new treatment methodology or dealing with
the management and care of a large collection. We are looking for
articles on the subject of parchment and vellum for publication in a
special issue of the Journal of the Institute of Conservation in
Autumn 2012. This will mark the 20th anniversary of the Paper
Conservator's themed issue on the subject. If you are interested in
contributing to this special issue, please send an abstract to the
Journal Editor, Janet Berry journal<-a t->icon< . >org< . >uk

The deadline for submission of completed articles is 31 August 2011.
