Interim Head of the Paper Conservation Laboratory Studiengang Konservierung und Restaurierung von Graphik, Archiv- und Bibliotheksgut Stuttgart, Germany This is a temporary full-time teaching position in paper conservation at Stuttgart, Germany The BA/MA program "Studiengang Konservierung und Restaurierung von Graphik, Archiv- und Bibliotheksgut" at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Ku1/4nste in Stuttgart, Germany, is seeking an interim full-time head of the paper conservation laboratory starting 1. May 2011 for at least 5 months until 30 September 2011. A full- or part-time extension may be possible. The successful applicant will be responsible for guiding and supporting 16 students in their treatment projects and managing the laboratory administratively. Physical presence during the time of employment is required. A graduate conservation degree from a recognized program and at least two years post-graduate experience or equivalent expertise in treatment especially with fine art on paper are required, experience in teaching is desirable. The candidate must have excellent communication skills in the German language. We offer a lively, interactive and stimulating working environment within the Academy of Art and Design Stuttgart. The position is limited to 5 months. Pay scale is according to E 13 TV-L. The Academy is striving to increase the proportion of women in artistic / scientific employment.
