"Conservation of an 18th Century Korean Buddhist Painting: Buddha Shakyamuni Preaching to the Assembly on Vulture Peak" Los Angeles County Museum of Art Brown Auditorium 5905 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA, 90036 Saturday, May 21, 2011 9:30am-4pm This one-day symposium will focus on the recent conservation of an eighteenth-century Korean Buddhist painting entitled, Buddha Shakyamuni Preaching to the Assembly on Vulture Peak, undertaken by the Conservation Center at LACMA. Speakers involved in different phases of the project will discuss their role in this unique collaboration between scientists, conservators, and art historians.
