This one-day symposium will focus on the recent conservation of an
eighteenth-century Korean Buddhist painting entitled, Buddha
Shakyamuni Preaching to the Assembly on Vulture Peak, undertaken by
the Conservation Center at LACMA.  Speakers involved in different
phases of the project will discuss their role in this unique
collaboration between scientists, conservators, and art historians.
