Identifying watermark

Could your watermark be part of a longer phrase:

    CARTIERA MILIANI FABRIANO ?

The paper mills at Fabriano of course had many different watermarks
but certainly made watercolor paper in the 1950's with this
watermark. Check with their website or published books and articles
by Andrea Gasparinetti for more information.   Paper samples with
watermarks are available at their on-site museum as well.
