"Collection Care and Preservation Case Studies relating to
    Collections in the Caribbean"
University of the West Indies
Cave Hill, St. Michael
Barbados, West Indies

Monday 3-4 May 2011

This one day conference will focus and reflect on current Collection
Care and Preservation, Practices in the Caribbean and/or ways of
adapting current approaches from temperate climates. (All
disciplines)

Main topics of interest are:

    Disaster response
    Collection migration
    Pest treatments and integrated pest management
    Storage and housing
    Refurbishing and creating exhibition spaces
    Making the move from restoration to conservation

There will be a mix of power point presentations and posters. The
conference will be followed up by a round table discussion about the
main concerns and direction of Caribbean Collection Care and
Preservation. Abstract submissions should be no more than 500 words
(approx) and should include the following:

    The title of the presentation
    The names of all contributors
    Mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail of the main author
