Mellon Fellowship for Advanced Training in paintings conservation. This two-year appointment begins in January 2012 and may be extended for a third year. The collections at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, include a comprehensive range of paintings primarily from America and Europe. The Mellon Fellow will have the opportunity for in-depth examination and treatment of artworks and to participate in a wide range of conservation activities with conservators, conservation scientists, collections care specialists and curators. Fellows are encouraged to carry out a publishable research project. Applicants must have a master's degree (or equivalent) in paintings conservation from a recognized program. Compensation includes salary and travel allowance, in addition to a generous benefits package.
